See it all, or take a shortcut.
I have seen many apartments in my life. Not all of them felt friendly enough to made me say, Yes… I could stay here for a while…
From the very first moment Anna – the owner – showed me her place, I felt a nice sensation of tranquility. It all felt familiar.
Most apartments in Benidorm come in a box of matches size. Not this one. The 65 square meters felt like more. Someone had some good ideas on how to maximise the space and functionality.
This apartment is part of this modern building called Torre Colon. I love it how, here in Spain, each building has a name, an identity. It is not just a number.
The entrance in the building looks a bit like a hotel entrance. It’s nice, it fells a bit different than just a block of flats.
In the back of the building, you walk into a green and mature landscaped garden. Nature in the middle of the city. Nice for some time off from Benidorm’s constant hum and buzz. On the hottest days, this oasis of greenery becomes truly precious. This won me over and I said Yes. I would like to be the host of this one. People would be happy here.
In the middle of this natural park, you see the private swimming pool. It is a big one. It is fenced. One of the largest sized pools I have seen in all Benidorm. Dedicated to the residents of Torre Colon.
I say without a second thought, the Green Tree Suite is a nice choice for spending some time in Benidorm. Close to everything you would want to visit, be it the Levante beach, Aqualandia & Mundomar themed parks or the nearby Calle Gerona party street, Benidorm Palace or the famous Red Lion pub.
1 minute walk to the nearest restaurant (Taberna Mitica). This is the closest place to have a cold beer & try some East European (Bulgarian) traditional food
3 minutes walk to the British Supermarket (Super Save Benidorm)
4 minutes walk to My Chips (popular fast food)
5 minutes walk to Benidorm Palace
5 minutes walk for your fast food cravings – KFC & McDonalds
5 minutes walk to the largest supermarket in the area (Mas Y Mas)
10 minutes walk to Levante Beach
15 minutes walk to Aqualandia and Mundomar. This is good fun.

Quiet neighbourhood with nice people. The Torre Colon Edificio is the last building of its kind in the area.
Where the building ends, a newly developed area with exclusive one-two level villas begins. It is really nice to walk around that area.
The entrance of the block is locked, accessible with the key and guarded by a doorman.
Torre Colon Edificio is mainly a residential building. Just a few apartments are being rented as holiday homes.
Building – 17 floors
1 small parking space
1 intriguingly large swimming pool (27x13m). Yes, that is 350 square meters.
2 elevators
The owner renovated, redesigned and equipped the Green Tree Suite for her own needs. She wanted it to feel like her home away from home.
She hopes other will feel at least as good as she feels when spending time here.
The apartment offers a spacious living room that combines comfort with functionality. Here we find a large and comfortable sofa, perfect for relaxing.
In front of the sofa, a modern flat screen TV is placed for optimal viewing of your favourite shows or Netflix movies and series. Whether you want to watch an exciting movie or enjoy quiet evenings with the family, this corner of the living room is a nice place to unwind.
On the side, with a view to the gardens, a nice wooden table , accompanied by four chairs, is where people usually eat or play board games.
The space where the dining table now sits, used to be an open balcony in the past. The owner has enclosed this space to create more indoor space. Cool.
Our guests can relax in the apartment with free access to Netflix . Turn on the TV, and choose IT’SANICEPLACE profile on Netflix and enjoy the show!
Free internet, fast speed, unlimited.
And the TV with Spanish and International channels, including international Sports Channels.
It is nice to know you won’t be bumping into each other. The apartment is perfect for 4 adults sleeping in the 2 bedrooms and 1 child on the sofa bed.

There is a funny house rule that works best when having just 1 bathroom:
You need it, close the door.
You don’t, leave the door open.
Equipped with a small table and 4 chairs this is a nice place to enjoy your favourite drinks or have breakfast in the open air. Whether you choose to enjoy a coffee in the morning or dine by the light of the sunset, this balcony offers an intimate and pleasant setting.
Watch the cheerful activity by the pool, or simply relax on your own, in the quiet of the evening.
The sunshade is there. Extend it or draw it back. Up to you.

The Torre Colon edificio has this XXL private swimming pool. Completely fenced so that children are safe.
With a lifeguard present to ensure everyone’s safety, you can feel at ease to leave children here without worries.
You can bring your own sun lounger to sunbathe comfortably or, if you prefer, you can sit on your towel by the pool.
Facilities include clean and accessible toilets.
The pool is open from 12 AM to 9 PM between June 15 and Septembr 15.
The garden is open from 8 AM to 9 PM all year long.
Don’t forget there is a much bigger pool if you are willing to walk for 10 minute. It is called the Mediterranean Sea.
I met the owner through a common friend. We connected in an instant. I sat on the balcony table and listened. I like to know how things started. This is what she told me:
I Benidorm ! I have bought the apartment for its strategic location close to all the action of Benidorm, and I have ended falling in love with this place. I am always happy here...love sitting on the balcony, admiring the view of a beautiful garden and green trees. Sometimes I even listening to the birds singing, ignoring all the buzz coming from the town. For me, it is that special place where I charge myself with positive energy.
The Owner
I knew I wanted to accept the job of managing and marketing the apartment while Anna is away… It took me about a second after walking in and seeing Anna’s welcoming smile and a quick look around the place.
In my mind, finding the right name for a place is really important. But immediately after Anna told me why she bought this place and how she enjoys the beautiful garden and green trees, I said…. Right. This is the right name. Green Tree Suite. Thank you Anna.
With a modern and attractive design the Torre Colon building offers a number of facilities for tourists making it a nice place to stay. The building is newly renovated with a spacious and bright entrance. Disabled access is facilitated by a specially constructed ramp. Unfortunately, because the shower cabin of the apartment is not a walk-in cabin, we cannot call this apartment accessible for wheelchairs.
At the front entrance, you will find a huge lobby and two modern elevators facilitate access between floors. There is also a doorman available for assistance and security.
In addition, the complex benefits from a private natural park, a green and relaxing space for visitors.
Natural Park with swimming pool: The building also features a private park in the middle of nature, surrounded by greenery, orange trees and huge trees. The benches and seating areas spread inside the park are perfect places to escape the hot summer days, relax reading a book or simply enjoy an outdoor picnic with your loved ones. And there’s more. For lovers of culinary adventures, there are areas within the park specially set up for a barbecue. Just bring your own equipment.
The Torre Colon parking lot is on the street, next to the building.
I would say quite small for the number of residents living here. It can take up to about 30 cars.
The builders thought the pool is much more important than the parking space. And so… they gave away 350 square meters for that, and almost nothing for the parking. If you measure the park + pool + fancy entrance – that is a lot of space. Oh well… That is just not there. Sorry.
Although this parking is not the largest, it is safe and reliable. If you do find an empty parking spot, jump on it.
If nothing is available, the surrounding streets are the answer.
Anyway, as I said before, you’re fine without a car here.
When the sun goes down, people fill up the streets of Benidorm.
Be sure there are plenty of options around to make your evenings worthy of never-to-forget.
Breathe in all the beauty of the perfect sunset on the beach or promenade.
Feeling romantic perhaps? Ok. Book a candlelit dinner at one of the restaurants overlooking the sea or inland. There are some delicious dishes going on.

Thinking about this place almost everyday now, I just wish I’d be working from there instead of my lousy office at home.

Aqualandia opened in 1985 and became the first water park built in Spain. Since then, it has grown and developed steadily, becoming a top attraction in the region. The park holds a Guinness World Record for the world’s longest ‘lazy river’ in a water park. This river flows an impressive distance, providing a relaxing and fun experience for visitors.
In addition to permanent attractions, Aqualandia also hosts special events and themed evenings during the summer season. These events include concerts, light shows and film screenings on the water, adding fun and variety to the visitor experience.
MundoMar in Benidorm is a theme park dedicated to exotic nature and wildlife, offering a range of interesting attractions and activities. MundoMar is actively involved in marine biodiversity conservation programs, including dolphins and other threatened species. The park has breeding and rehabilitation projects, contributing to global marine conservation efforts.
In addition to breathtaking dolphin shows, MundoMar also offers the opportunity for visitors to interact directly with these wonderful creatures. There are special programs where guests can learn more about dolphins and participate in swimming sessions. Upon leaving the park, pictures taken with the dolphins can also be purchased to keep as a souvenir.
The Red Lion is one of the oldest pubs in Benidorm, having opened in the early 1970’s. Few people know that The Red Lion is a place where local and international traditions are celebrated in a unique way. From St. Patrick’s Day celebrations to charity events or themed evenings, the pub is always full of activity and surprises.
Fewer people know that the pub also serves authentic British food. From classic fish and chips to delicious cakes, its menu is a delight for those who want to enjoy an authentic dining experience.
Its rustic décor and friendly atmosphere is reminiscent of traditional pubs in the UK, providing a pleasant and authentic escape for those who visit the venue.
Benidorm Palace was founded in 1977 and is one of Benidorm’s oldest and most loved entertainment venues. Over the years, it has hosted various shows (cabaret, circus, concerts) and brought joy to the hearts of locals and visitors alike. While the shows are the focal point of the Benidorm Palace experience, few know that the venue also offers a great dining experience.
The on-site restaurant serves delicious and diverse dishes prepared with care and passion. The venue also offers services for private parties and special events, such as weddings, christenings or birthdays.
Cala Almadraba, a small beach tucked away in Benidorm, is a real piece of paradise. Imagine a breathtaking view, where sea and rock intertwine in a dance of colour and tranquillity. It’s not as crowded as other beaches in Benidorm. It’s a perfect place to relax and enjoy privacy.
Like many secluded coves along the Spanish coast, Cala Almadraba is rumored to be a hiding place for hidden treasures left behind by pirates and ancient civilizations. While there’s no concrete evidence to support these claims, the notion of buried riches adds an aura of mystery to the beach.
This is the most popular beach in Benidorm.
Playa de Levante (2km) proudly flies the Blue Flag, an international eco-label awarded to beaches that meet strict criteria for water quality, environmental management, safety, and services. This certification reflects its commitment to environmental sustainability and visitor safety.
According to local legend, Playa de Levante was once frequented by sea nymphs who emerged from the depths of the Mediterranean Sea to frolic along the shores under the light of the full moon. It is said that those who witness these mystical creatures are blessed with good fortune and eternal youth.
It was placed on top of the mountain in 1961 as part of a Catholic mission to redeem the city from its reputation as a sinful town. Although many believe it is just a tourist attraction, this cross has played an important role in Benidorm’s history.
It sits at the top of the Sierra Helada and offers an impressive view of Benidorm’s skyscrapers, the Poniente and Levante beaches offering a moving panorama.
The Mirador is right above the Balcón del Mediterráneo, another famous panoramic photo spot in Benidorm. It is located near the harbour, close to the beaches, and offers a panoramic view of the Mediterranean Sea, the beaches and the town of Benidorm.
Isla de Benidorm , also known as the island of journalists, is a small island off the coast of the Spanish town of Benidorm. It is of high ecological, landscape and environmental interest. The island is located near the holiday town of Benidorm, about 3.5 kilometers off the Spanish mainland.
Most weekdays, tourists can take boat trips from the mainland to visit the island. In the past, the island was known as Peacock Island but now it’s no longer populated by peacocks. Now you will find a lot of seagulls instead.
There are many legends about how the island got there, including one that says that a giant kicked a mountain rock in anger and it landed in the sea.
If you want to explore nature and enjoy spectacular views, Isla de Benidorm is a great option.
Playa de Poniente (3km), located on the western side of the tourist resort of Benidorm on the Costa Blanca is much quieter, larger and more relaxed than the Playa de Levante party beach on the eastern side of the bay.
Like many coastal areas in Spain, Benidorm has a history of pirate attacks. Legend has it that Playa de Poniente was a frequent target for pirates who would raid the town and surrounding areas. Some locals claim that hidden treasures may still be buried along the coastline.
